| Today was the most perfect day, and last night was the most perfect night ever, despite the communication problems and the weird series of events.....oh man.
It all happened. When I realized that I had to wake up and go to Omaha I wanted to cry my eyes out, especially while cuddling with a certain boy who I will not see for four whole days. Oh Christ. I miss everyone already. Last night was just so fantastic....and now I'm here. HERE. In fucking Omaha, the wasteland of everything I dislike. Four fucking more days here. I can't take it anymore.
FUCK Omaha, honestly. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| Lover I Don't Have to Love-- Bright Eyes...I listened to this a couple days ago and realized that it hits fucking close to home.
And it's a hot song..in my opinion...
I picked you out Of a crowd to talk to you Said I liked your shoes You said thanks can I follow you? So it's up the stairs And out of view No prying eyes I poured some wine I asked your name you asked the time Well it's two o'clock Yeah the club is closed we're up the block Your hands on me Pressing hard against your jeans Your tongue in my mouth Trying to keep the words from coming out You didn't care to know Who else may have been here before I want a lover I don't have to love I want a girl who's to sad to give a fuck Where's the kid with the chemicals? I thought he said he'd meet us here but I'm not sure I got the money if you got the time He said it feels good I said I'll give it a try Then my mind went dark We both forgot where your car was parked Let's just take the train I'll meet up with the band in the morning Bad actors with bad habits Some sad singers They just play tragic Now the phone's ringing And the band's leaving Let's just keep touching Let's just keep keep singing I want a lover I don't have to love I want a boy who's so drunk he doesn't talk Where's the kid with the chemicals I got a hunger and I can't seem to get full I need some meaning I can memorize The kind I have always seems to slip my mind But you but you You write such pretty words But life's no story book Love is an excuse to get hurt And to hurt Do you like to hurt? 'Cause I do I do I do This didn't hurt me Didn't hurt me Oh this hurt me | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Today Sparta came into the music store where I work. Nice guys. I invited them to the DJ Battle tonight, since it's their day off. Perhaps they'll show up.

| ohhhhhhhhhhhhmyyyyyyyyyyygggggggggggaaaaawwwwwddddddddd
I just got my block rocked off by Sahara Hotnights and The Mooney Suzuki and I'm really hyped up which sucks cos I have to go to school early tomorrow, hence my being home at 12:38 am. Anyways, so Sahara Hotnights = really fucking hot Mooney Suzuku = 'ladies and gentlemen' (heh)
ohmyohmyohmy.
The crowd was awesome...all sorts of familiar faces. We went with our hip hop friends who are going to incorporate some of MS' stage banter into their act. har har.
MY LIFE has been awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lately. Why so many E's? I don't know. I'm really giddy right now.
THE LOWDOWN:
My radio shift got moved, dear souls. Promoted. 10-12 on Saturday MORNINGS. So now you can all listen to me. kjhk.org. LISTEN! No more getting up early.
This past weekend I went to go see PAUL FUCKING MCCARTNEY, and my dad and I and like 50+ people were chillin before the show and we saw Paul pull up with his police escorts, and he and Heather waved out of their limo...and Paul rolled down the window and gave everyone the thumbs up and waved and I can still picture how fucking close I was to him in that damn car and omigod the show was awesome and he did 'Getting Better' and 'Something' on ukelele for George, and we got to hear the soundcheck and during the soundcheck he did 'I've Got A Feeling' for like 8 minutes and he DIDNT do it in concert....and he did 'You Never Give Me Your Money/Carry That Weight', 'We Can Work It Out', 'Fool on the Hill' and fucking like 30 more songs. OH DEAR SWEET JESUS
Moving on...
WHY MUST EVERY CONCERT BE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE BOOKED? OH MY GOD. So November 15th, right...John Vanderslice will be in Omaha, Maroon 5 in Lincoln, then I found out tonight that my fucking favorite band of the moment from SWEDEN, Soundtrack of our Lives is coming to KC that night. WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY TRYING TO DO TO ME? I mean shit, M5 are my boys...and John, well...we all know what my purpose for going to that show is, but damnnnnnnnnnnn Soundtrack....fucking rocks my socks. THIS SUCKS. Damn you concert bookers.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. new tahiti 80 album tomorrow as well.
i need sleep. sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.

| I hate public speaking. Today in COMS 130 (aka speech) I gave my informative speech on the SWEDISH MUSICAL REVOLUTION;
The Hives The (International) Noise Conspiracy Sahara Hotnights The Soundtrack of our Lives Division of Laura Lee
And while I remembered most of it, I talked like 2.5 million miles a minute and couldn't stop moving an walking around.
But at least its over with, right? | comments: Leave a comment |

You are -
Penny Lane!
To you, it's not about being near famous people, it's about the music. But you wouldn't mind if there was a song or two written about you...Even if your boyfriend DID sell you to Humble Pie for fifty bucks and a case of Heineken.
Which Band-Aid are YOU most like?

| | Not that it matters, but I saw the new John Mayer video for 'Your Body is a Wonderland', and besides the cheesy part of him and the chick rolling around on a bed and looking at eachother, theres concert footage and shit, and like, all of that concert footage is from the show he did in Kansas City that I went to. I'm pretty sure. And for some reason I thought that was cool. City Market, ya'll. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| This weekend is going to be hella busy. Yes, I just said hella. Does that bother anyone? John thinks it's weird that I say hella. Of course, I made fun of him for saying 'totally' every 5 seconds and sounding like a surfer boy.
ANYWAY
Tonight I'm going to a party with James and Kelly. There should be hundreds of people crammed in the dude's tiny apartment. I forgot the guy's name. He works at the radio station though. Lots of DJs...supposedly Delta Force is coming. All 200 of them. Whatever.
Then I might go to the Pool Room if the party sucks for Allison's birthday. Hm.
Hopefully I'll end up drunk tonight and not do something I regret for once.
Tomorrow I'm hanging with my sister and my mom, who happen to be in town. Then at 7pm-10pm I'm going to a reception at an art gallery because Kyle the Bus Driver's film is being shown. The art show is mainly video images and sound, apparently. I'm thinking there will be free food and beverages and that sounds alright we me. Also, Kyle is completely adorable and I miss him a lot because he is no longer a bus driver here. Sad.
Then after that, I might go to Kansas City and check out some hip hop event that Kelly knows about. I forgot what its called and who's going to be there, but whatever.
Sunday, maybe I'll see the family again....and do homework for once, go to a music staff meeting...hopefully hang out with Michael afterwards.
And yeah, thats my weekend. Good to know I'm spontaneous. Hah. | comments: Leave a comment |
| bored.

| my washing machine is LOUD. It's starting to annoy me.
Radio 4 lastnight was alright. I left before the headliner. I ran into an old friend on the way out, and he came over until 2am to chat, which was nice.
I work tonight. Then go home. Then sleep. They do the radio show in the middle of the night. Then go to class all day. Then Emer comes. Then we go to a concert. Then I don't get enough sleep and will be a bitch on Thursday. Then go to class. Then work right after. Then by Thursday night, I will finally have a chance to relax.
I miss sleep.
So everyone in Omaha better be going to the Atmosphere show. I think its tonight. I know you're all supportive of saddle creek bands and the indie rock and what not, and that Omaha has no hip hop scene, but go support some good underground hip hop. Mac Lethal is badass. The end. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
